Kinesiology

Duration

60 Hours

About the Course

Kinesiology is a study of movement of the human body. This class will take the student through the movement of the skeletal system from head to toe. This class will cover the movement and postural patterns of all ages of humans, from infant to elderly. We will learn to perform a gait analysis, postural reading, recognize and correct muscle imbalances, joint centration, functional movement, and correct dysfunctional movement patterns. Kinesiology is a highly participatory class where each student will be taken through the process of deep lumbar core stabilization through breath and intraabdominal pressure, then hip and scapula stabilization integrated into the body through proper joint alignment and movement. This process will help physically prepare the student for the work in bodywork and movement.
